Oyster Mushroom Pulao

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup basmati rice (soaked 30 mins)

  • 200g oyster mushrooms (sliced)

  • 1 onion (sliced)

  • 1 tomato (chopped)

  • 1 bay leaf, 2 cloves, 1 cinnamon stick (Tej Patta) (Laung) (Dalchini)

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (Jeera)

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder (Haldi)

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 2 tbsp ghee/oil

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 cups water

How to Cook:

  • Heat ghee, add cumin, bay leaf, cloves, and cinnamon.

  • Add onions, fry until golden.

  • Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, garam masala.

  • Add tomatoes, sauté until soft.

  • Add mushrooms, fry 2–3 minutes.

  • Add soaked rice and water.

  • Cook until rice is done. Serve with raita or pickle.
