Oyster Mushroom Momos (Steamed Dumplings)
Ingredients:
Oyster mushrooms (Dhingri) – 200 g, finely chopped
Onion (Pyaz) – 1 small, chopped
Garlic (Lehsun) – 4 cloves, minced
Ginger (Adrak) – 1 tsp, grated
Cabbage (Patta gobhi) – ½ cup, shredded
Carrot (Gajar) – ½ cup, grated
Green chili (Hari mirch) – 1, minced
Soy sauce – 1 tsp
Black pepper (Kali mirch) – ½ tsp
Salt – to taste
Refined flour (Maida) – 1 cup (for dough)
Oil – 1 tbsp
Method:
Make a soft dough with maida + water + pinch of salt, rest 30 mins.
Heat oil, sauté garlic, ginger, onion. Add mushrooms, cabbage, carrot, chili. Cook 5 mins.
Season with soy sauce, pepper, salt. Cool mixture.
Roll dough into small circles, fill with stuffing, fold into momos. Steam in steamer for 10–12 mins. Serve with spicy chutney.
