Oyster Mushroom Momos (Steamed Dumplings)

Ingredients:

  • Oyster mushrooms (Dhingri) – 200 g, finely chopped

  • Onion (Pyaz) – 1 small, chopped

  • Garlic (Lehsun) – 4 cloves, minced

  • Ginger (Adrak) – 1 tsp, grated

  • Cabbage (Patta gobhi) – ½ cup, shredded

  • Carrot (Gajar) – ½ cup, grated

  • Green chili (Hari mirch) – 1, minced

  • Soy sauce – 1 tsp

  • Black pepper (Kali mirch) – ½ tsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Refined flour (Maida) – 1 cup (for dough)

  • Oil – 1 tbsp

Method:

  1. Make a soft dough with maida + water + pinch of salt, rest 30 mins.

  2. Heat oil, sauté garlic, ginger, onion. Add mushrooms, cabbage, carrot, chili. Cook 5 mins.

  3. Season with soy sauce, pepper, salt. Cool mixture.

  4. Roll dough into small circles, fill with stuffing, fold into momos. Steam in steamer for 10–12 mins. Serve with spicy chutney.
