Oyster Mushroom Mirchi Bajji

Ingredients:

  • Large green chilies – 6 (Bajji mirchi)

  • Oyster mushrooms – 100 g, chopped

  • Onion – 1 small, chopped

  • Ginger-garlic paste – ½ tsp (Adrak-lehsun)

  • Gram flour – 1 cup (Besan)

  • Rice flour – 2 tbsp (Chawal ka atta)

  • Carom seeds – ½ tsp (Ajwain)

  • Red chili powder – ½ tsp (Lal mirch)

  • Salt – to taste

  • Oil – for frying

Method:

  • Slit the chilies lengthwise, remove seeds.

  • Cook mushrooms with onion, ginger-garlic, salt until dry.

  • Stuff this mixture into the chilies.

  • Make batter with besan, rice flour, ajwain, chili powder, salt, and water.

  • Dip stuffed chilies, deep fry until golden. Serve with tamarind chutney.
