Oyster Mushroom Do Pyaza

Ingredients:

  • Oyster mushrooms – 250 g, cut into strips

  • Onion – 3 medium (2 chopped, 1 sliced into petals)

  • Tomato – 2 medium, chopped

  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp

  • Green chili – 2, slit

  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp

  • Turmeric – ½ tsp

  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp

  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp

  • Garam masala – ½ tsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Oil – 2 tbsp

  • (Optional non-veg) – add 150 g chicken or mutton pieces

  • (Vegan option) – no change

Method:

  • Heat oil, add cumin, onions (chopped), sauté till golden.

  • Add ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, spices, and green chili. Cook till oil separates.

  • Add mushrooms (and optional chicken/mutton), cook on medium till tender.

  • Add onion petals, sauté 2–3 mins for crunch.

  • Finish with garam masala. Serve with roti/paratha.
