Creamy Oyster Mushroom Vol-au-Vents

Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry shells (ready-made) – 6 (or make with Maida)

  • Oyster mushrooms – 150 g, finely chopped

  • Onion – 1 small, finely chopped

  • Butter – 1 tbsp (or vegan butter)

  • Fresh cream – 3 tbsp (or cashew cream for vegan)

  • Nutmeg – a pinch (Jaiphal)

  • Salt, pepper – to taste

Method:

  • Bake puff pastry shells until golden and hollow inside.

  • Heat butter, sauté onion until soft.

  • Add mushrooms, cook till moisture evaporates.

  • Stir in cream, nutmeg, salt, pepper. Cook till creamy.

  • Fill mixture inside pastry shells. Serve hot as finger-food starter.
