Creamy Oyster Mushroom Vol-au-Vents
Ingredients:
Puff pastry shells (ready-made) – 6 (or make with Maida)
Oyster mushrooms – 150 g, finely chopped
Onion – 1 small, finely chopped
Butter – 1 tbsp (or vegan butter)
Fresh cream – 3 tbsp (or cashew cream for vegan)
Nutmeg – a pinch (Jaiphal)
Salt, pepper – to taste
Method:
Bake puff pastry shells until golden and hollow inside.
Heat butter, sauté onion until soft.
Add mushrooms, cook till moisture evaporates.
Stir in cream, nutmeg, salt, pepper. Cook till creamy.
Fill mixture inside pastry shells. Serve hot as finger-food starter.
